Senior Technology Project Manager
Job Description
The Senior Technology Project Manager is a mission critical technical position responsible for the project management of technology infrastructure projects including Specification, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing of the implementation of systems, networks, and build-outs. The Senior Technology Project Manager must be able to work as a member of the project office and also as a member of the technical staff.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist technology infrastructure management in the formulation and execution of technology infrastructure projects.
• Assist technology infrastructure management in the managing of projects and tasks assigned to members of the staff and other departments.
• Assist technology infrastructure management in the managing of projects and tasks assigned to third-parties.
• Assist technology infrastructure management and staff in the formulation and execution of office, data center, colo, business continuity, and other build-outs.
• Assist staff with AOM activities of a large financial systems and network infrastructure.
• Knowledge Transfer.
Skills Summary
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial environments managing technical staff responsible for IT, and/or Networks, and/or facilities.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial environments managing and/or executing large scale IT projects in development, and/or systems, and/or networks, and/or facilities.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial environments managing and/or executing office, data center, colo, and business continuity build-outs.
• Understanding of building and data center systems and elements including generators, ATS/STS, UPS, PDUs, power distribution gear, data and telco cable plant, raised floors, HVAC, fire detection and suppression systems is a must.
• Understanding of the TCP/IP protocol family is a plus.
• Experience with applications, systems, and network devices from Checkpoint, Cisco, Dell, Extreme Networks, HP, Juniper, Nortel, Microsoft, NetApp, VMware, is a plus.
• Understanding of LAN, WAN, Metro, and converged IP technologies is a plus.
• Project-focused, able to run multiple tasks for different functional areas.
• Ability to function independently with minimal supervision as well as within a collaborative team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Location: NYC
Compensation: $140,000
